My Canon SD880 Review was a lot of fun, I was blown away to find such an advanced piece of equipment in such a small size. The Canon SD880 is hands down my favorite Canon digital camera.

Immediately on first use, I was able to notice how superior this camera was performing. As I started my Canon SD880 Review I was in disbelief at how fast the camera was shooting. The lens was a lot more fitting than other cameras I have inspected in this size, and using one hand I was able to control everything.

My favorite piece of the SD880 was the well equipped scroll wheel. It seems Canon really listened to the public when assembling the SD880, the scroll wheel on the Canon SD880 has advanced very much compared to its earlier Canon predecessors. Operation was never easier, the scroll wheel stands out the perfect amount on the right side boundary of the camera Why pay more for other Canon cameras which have little LCD screens?

Testing forward, I evaluated my Canon SD880 Review verses the SD990 and the G10. The SD990 and the G10 were both more costlythan the SD880. The SD880 had a full 3 inch LCD verses the SD990′s 2.5 inch. Also, the SD990 was only able to zoom as wide as 37mm, the SD880 on the other hand was able to zoom 28mm.

The Canon G10 was the only proportionate Canon camera to the SD880, it was a worthy counterpart when moving forward with my Canon SD880 Review. Overall, the SD880 performed much faster than the G10. High performance with exceptional picture quality made the SD880 the perfect compact. While the G10 performed well, it was still giganticcompared to the SD880. Having a committed exposure compensation dial on the G10, I saw that overall exposure compensation was faster on the G10 opposed to the SD880. Although the G10 adjusted faster, it still required two hands to operate while the SD880 was extremely easy to use just with one hand.

Differentiatingthe G10 with the Canon SD880 Review, I preferred the SD880 in its comfortable compact size.

Lenses

Appointed with a 28mm lens the SD880 really was very pleasing to use. Analyzing the zoom capabilities of the SD880 I saw it had very limited barrel distortion when compared to other compacts.

Image Quality

Previously I had analyze numerous Canon Powershots image quality and found them all to be mostly the same. Being able to conduct a Canon SD880 Review, I was able to discern whether this particular camera was distinctive from its predecessors. The SD880′s performance was faultless, with low distortion at different zooms, the SD880′s lens also had less lateral color fringing at the wider end.

Screen

I was surprised when I could clearly see the SD880 screen when I was off axis. Holding down the DISP button I was able to quickly get the screen to become as glossy as I wanted, never had I seen a LCD which was so varied .

Efficiency

In my eyes, the SD880 is in a group of its own. Less expensive than other cameras in its class, but still filled with all its great features, who could ask for more?

Power

After conducting my Canon SD880 Review each day I would put it to charge, taking 600 pictures a day the camera took approximately 75 minutes to fully charge.

Conducting an extended Canon SD880 Review showed me how superior this digital camera is to other compact cameras. I have analyzed many other great Canon Powershot cameras and the Canon SD880 is similar to all of them. I always wanted to thoroughly perform a Canon SD880 Review and was delighted I finally was able to.

When I originally commenced my Canon SD880 Review I was looking for which camera worked the fastest, had a more suitable lens, and which one overall was easier to use.

I was able to conduct my Canon SD880 Review quite quickly using the attractive scroll wheel surrounding the central button. It seems Canon really listened to the public when assembling the SD880, the scroll wheel on the Canon SD880 has advanced very much compared to its earlier Canon predecessors. I wish other companies would conduct their own Canon SD880 Review and streamline their scroll wheels as well. Clearly the smarter choice in its class, the Canon SD880 is less costly than other higher model Canon compact cameras, while still equipped with a wider lens and larger LCD screen.

After looking at the more costly SD950 and G10, my Canon SD880 Review took an unexpected turn. I was surprised the SD880 held a larger 3 inch display opposed to the SD950 and G10. Also, being able to zoom as wide as 28mm made the SD880 the clear choice.

When conducting my Canon SD880 Review, the closest matchup was the Canon G10, the only other Canon with a comparable 28mm lens. The perfect competition in my Canon SD880 Review was the larger more expensive Canon G10. While the G10 performed extremely well, the SD880 operated much quicker and was overall easier to adjust. Although the exposure compensation on the SD880 was not as quick as the G10, the G10 did require using two hands.

Fitting easily in my pocket the SD880 was conveniently attainable whenever I needed it… I could never imagine wearing the huge G10 around my neck.

Lenses

The SD880 is one of the best compact zoom cameras I’ve ever used. It zooms at 4x, which is equivalent to 112mm. Even at it’s widest zoom limits the SD880 has very limited distortion.

Image Quality

Accelerating ahead on the Canon SD880 Review, I decided to look at image quality. Having very little distortion at various zooms, the SD880 performed quite well compared to other compacts in its class. Color rendition was impeccable compared to other higher end cameras, this is something I did not expect.

LCD

The Anti-Reflective 3 inch LCD display was much more advanced than I had seen on any other compact camera. Vivid colors and clear menus made running the Canon SD880 Review much easier.

Efficiency

Before starting my Canon SD880 Review, I knew the SD880 was a camera not to be taken for granted. After basic testing I am highly impressed with its basic handling and performance. Fitting into any size pocket makes it a great all out mobile compact.

Battery Life

Battery life is really an important part about any compact, when running my Canon SD880 Review I was taking close to 500 pictures per day. Each night I was able to charge the battery in underneath 90 minutes.

The Canon PowerShot SD880 IS has a dimension of 3.69 inches in length, 2.24 inches in height, and 0.93 inches in width. It weighs only 105 grams. Being small and lightweight, you can keep this camera in your bag and even in your pocket so you can take it anywhere you want to go without being burdened by its bulk, which is virtually non-existent. Although this camera is small, the buttons are relatively large so it isn’t a pain accessing the different functions of the SD880 IS. Canon PowerShot SD880 IS

The Canon PowerShot SD880 IS is a slightly high-end camera that is priced around $250, which is not bad for a 10-megapixel shooter that has splendid photo quality. In fact, the sleek design and the photo quality alone is what makes this camera winner.

Features and Components

The excellent image quality is backed by the new DIGIC 4 Image Processor – the successor of the DIGIC III Image Processor found in the lower-end cameras. This is a combination of technologies that improve Face Detection, adds Servo AF, better corrects contrast, and captures enhanced photos. There is some noticeable fringing when photos are taken, but the new image processor makes the Canon PowerShot SD880 IS a powerful point and shoot camera even on automatic modes.

Advanced users will like the different shooting modes to capture all sorts of subjects and the 4x optical zoom can allow great high-resolution shots that don’t look very pixilated. The Samsung i8 is a cheaper alternative that easily captivates in look. But it sacrifices a bit of the camera quality in exchange for adding fun features that a selected bunch will enjoy.

On the camera side, the Samsung i8 can take photos up to 8 megapixels. It has a decent image processor that can bump up the image clarity a bit and has some functions that can automatically correct the exposure or contrast balance. It also has 5 levels of sharpness, contrast, saturation for photo enthusiasts to get the perfect picture. The zoom function isn’t very impressive, but the other features like Digital Image Stabilization and Face Detection should allow for some pretty impressive shots.

The Samsung i8 is able to play MP3s and supports SRS Wow HD and surround sound modes. Headphones can be plugged into the camera and the neat multitasking feature allows you to take pictures or view slideshows while jamming to the music. The only drawback to this is that it drains the battery much quicker.
