Most people love small digital cameras for their compactness and convenient portability. What they do not realize is that they cannot shoot the kind of quality pictures that the professional cameramen do with their large-size cameras.

The reason for this is that the voluminous professional cameras are equipped with large number of features that enable them to produce quality pictures and videos. The same features cannot be compacted into small cameras.
Canon has bridged this gap between quality and sixe by its latest offer, Canon PowerShot SX20IS 12 1MP Digital Camera, which was released in mid-August this year. It has bettered the quality of its very successful predecessor, SX10IS model, which has been a chart buster since its appearance in the market.

The 8-megapixel Canon PowerShot SD850 IS combines several classic features of the Digital Elph line with new perks garnered mainly from a new image processor. The Digic III image processor brings with it face detection technology that can recognize up to nine faces at once, as well as technology that reportedly keeps pictures cleaner. The SD850 IS had an initial price of $399, but can now be found online for about $50 less.
