  3. The camera looked great and I thought the quality of the pictures was alright. However, all of the pictures that I took of a Christmas party suddenly disapeared from the card without my doing anything I lost over 30 picures. I am returning the camera to JR Music where Amazon shipped it from. Not too happy with JR’s return handling. I would not purchase anything else from Amazon that is not coming directly from them.

  4. This is actually a question for other users and not a review. I have owned several generations of the Canon SD powershot cameras and really liked them all. My ONLY complaint would be about the amount of redeye (especially in my current model, the SD500). Is the redeye in the 870 better than previous generations or is that something I am still going to have to deal with?

    Thanks!

It’s a suitable camera, but can’t zoom too far. Not recommended for travelers who love to take pictures.
