@cameralabs thank you! i bought the canon rebel xs. You’ve been an amazing help. keep up the great work.
@jqwalls For good quality in low light, you’ll need a DSLR, but they can’t focus as close as a G10 / G11 without fitting a macro lens. So it depoends how much you want to spend. a DSLR with a macro lens would be perfect, but it’ll cost a lot more than a G10 / G11. PS – again whatever you buy, please do it through one of the partner stores at cameralabs . com!
Hi sorry to bug you one last time but which would be the better choice for taking close up photos of tattoos in low light? a g10 or a rebel xs? the main goal for me is to be able to capture fine detail in low light and still be able to have a super clear 8×10 photo printed. thank you soooo much for all your great reviews!!!!!!!!!!

@oshi2008 lol same!
I have this camera for about 1.5 years now and i am averaging 800-900 shots per charge with the screen on!! i have taken almost 10000 pictures with this camera and the only thing that annoys me is that in low light is not so good and the fps speed is quite slow for such a camera!!!!
if all goes well, this saturday i am going to buy this camera for 150$ cash…..(knock on wood)….this is an extremely good deal right?
@cameralabs
Not interested in photo and image quality. Interested in response, speed, buffer capacity, “the feel”. Actual physical qualities that are better demonstrated in video, rather than a narrative.
@thepretol I cover the photos and image quality in the written review at cameralabs . com.
All these reviews never demonstrate ACTUAL TAKING PICTURES… Main interest here is focus speed, button response, shot after shot performance, non-stop performance. it’s FUNDAMENTAL.
i want a camera but i dont decide between g9 / g10 / g11 or s90. What is your opinion? Thks
very good vid.
HELP!!!! Hey! I got this camera, but im still a begginer. I cant figure out how to do long exposure photography! Could someone please explain how to on this camera? Thanks in advance!!!
me too its an amazing piece of art
I bought one couple of months ago .
I’m quite satisfied with it . In short lenses it is very good , but when you try to zoom a bit , you start losing a lot of quality . The good point :
the definition you can get using the macro mode is impressive . And as well , the color contrast with macro reachs it’s best ..
You did a good job explaining this camera’s features.
i have a canon PowerShot g10 and is the best
I think you’ll find it does.
nice review but you are wrong to say the G9 has RAW because it doesnt
shame is that it doesn record at HD and no alternative firmaware yet
I really like that
mommy …i need it.
all your reviews are great, thanks alot.
could anyone advise me whether the g10 has significantly better image quality than the g7? I understand that because of the lack of RAW this would be a factor but as both are very similiar in features and that’s what is important to me. I don’t know if I’d be able to embrace RAW if I’m taking great pictures already
Yes this is my camera! only need the money to buy! thanks!
hey mike, i’ve already gotten the canon sx 20 is and it’s simply amazing. It has covered all of my needs which are basicaly and excellent macro and a good resolution on panoramic views. i haven’t stoped playing with the zoom feature plus the different modes this camera has. Hope this helps a bit or if u can be a bit more specific on your doubts i’ll be glad to help you.
Hey, he hasn’t answered to me yet and i’m starting to doubt if he will haha anyways i’ve decided to go for the PowerShot SX20IS. I’m not sure wether it is the right decision or not but as soon as i test it i could let u know. I’ve used the g10 because a friend has it, but still i wanted to try the sx20 cause of different reasons. I’ll tell u how good or bad it was. Cheers mate.
same here!
please please please if he answers you, send his answer to me too!
thanks!
